🏆 NPL Playoff Qualification & Structure
To qualify for the NPL (Nepal Premier League) playoffs, teams must finish in the top four of the 8-team league stage table.
League Stage Points System
- Win: 2 points
- No Result / Abandoned: 1 point
- Loss: 0 points
Tie-Breakers (When Teams Have Equal Points)
If two or more teams finish level on points, the NPL separates them using the following hierarchy:
- Most Wins: The team with the higher number of wins ranks higher.
- Net Run Rate (NRR): If wins are equal, the team with the superior NRR takes the higher position.
- Most Wickets: If NRR is also equal, the team with more total wickets taken ranks higher.
- Drawing Lots: As a final resort, if all above criteria are tied.
